Pick the Area, We Help You Pick the Method
We treat every part of the face except within the orbital rim of the eye, and both laser and electrolysis are available for every one of them. Learn more about each below.
01
Upper Lip
The most requested facial area. A few minutes per session.
02
Chin and Jawline
Often hormonal, often mixed hair types. Usually laser first, electrolysis to finish.
03
Cheeks and Sideburns
Larger area, fast with laser. Shaping the edge is where electrolysis helps.
04
Neck, Front and Back
Coarse hair and ingrowns respond well to laser. Popular with men.
05
Glabella (Unibrow)
A precise strip between the brows. Laser for the center, electrolysis for the line.
06
Beard Shaping, Ears and Nose
Clean up the cheek line and neck edge, or clear the outer ear and nostril rim.
Laser or Electrolysis? It Depends on the Hair
Very few Tampa studios offer both. We do, which lets us match the method to what is actually growing rather than to the only machine available. Laser is the fast choice for darker hair across larger areas. Electrolysis handles the hair a laser cannot see, white, grey, red, and light blonde, and is the only FDA-recognized permanent method, which makes it right for precise shaping. Learn about electrolysis.
| Situation | Usually starts with | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Dark, coarse hair on cheeks, neck, or beard | Laser | Pigment gives the laser a target and the area is large enough to cover quickly. |
| Fine, light, or peach-fuzz hair on lip or chin | Electrolysis | Too little pigment for a laser to detect. Electrolysis treats each follicle directly. |
| Grey or white hair, any area | Electrolysis | No pigment at all. Laser will not respond. |
| Shaping a brow, hairline, or beard edge | Electrolysis | Hair-by-hair precision along a line. |
| Hormonal chin or jaw growth | Laser, then electrolysis | Laser clears the bulk; electrolysis finishes the resistant and lighter hairs. |
| Deeper skin tones, any area | Laser (Nd:YAG) or electrolysis | The 1064nm laser passes safely through melanin-rich skin. Electrolysis works on any skin tone. |
Many clients use laser for the bulk of the work and electrolysis to finish the details. We tell you which fits at your consultation.
Two Lasers, So No Skin Tone Gets Turned Away
If a clinic told you your skin was too dark for facial laser, they were describing their equipment, not your skin. Your technician picks the system, or blends both, based on your skin and hair.
Alexandrite 755nm
Works quickly and precisely. Best for Fitzpatrick types I through III.
Nd:YAG 1064nm
Reaches deeper and passes safely through the upper layers of the skin. The right instrument for types IV through VI, and gentle enough for sensitive facial areas.
Turned away elsewhere? Our treatments for brown skin exist for exactly that reason.
From First Session to Smooth
The laser sends light into the follicle; the pigment absorbs it, converts it to heat, and the follicle is disabled. Only follicles in their active growth phase respond on treatment day, so a series of sessions a few weeks apart delivers the result. Facial hair is often hormonally driven, so the plan is built around your situation.
Consultation
Free. We look at your skin and hair, test a few pulses, and quote each area up front.
Prep
Shave the area 24 hours before, arrive makeup-free, pause retinol and acids for a few days, no sun for two weeks.
Session
Ten to twenty minutes depending on the area. A light snap or warm pinch, with cooling on every pulse.
Between Visits
Mild redness settles in hours. SPF daily, no plucking or waxing. Hair sheds over the following weeks. Repeat every 4 to 6 weeks.
Two Reasons Facial Hair Removal Gets Personal
PCOS and Hormonal Growth
Chin, jaw, and neck hair driven by hormones tends to be coarse, persistent, and mixed with lighter hairs. Laser clears the bulk and electrolysis handles what is left, and we plan for ongoing maintenance rather than promising a single fix. Read about hair removal for PCOS and hirsutism.
Gender-Affirming Care
Facial hair removal is one of the most requested parts of transition, and often a prerequisite for surgery letters. We are an inclusive, LGBTQ-friendly studio and treat every face with the same care and privacy. Learn about our gender-affirming hair removal.
We Remove Hair. That Is All We Do.
No contracts, no memberships, no prepaid packages. One area or several, on your terms.
Under Florida law only licensed electrologists, physicians, PAs, and APRNs may perform laser hair removal. That is who treats you here.
Facial areas start as low as $50 per session, quoted before you commit.
A clinic rather than a spa, with a board-certified plastic surgeon overseeing protocols.
BEFORE AND AFTER
Facial Hair Removal FAQs
Does laser hair removal on the face hurt?
Most clients feel a quick, warm snap rather than real pain. The face can be a little more sensitive than the body, but sessions are short and our technicians adjust settings to keep you comfortable.
How many sessions will I need for facial hair?
It varies with your hair type, skin tone, and whether the growth is hormonal, but most people need a series of sessions spaced a few weeks apart to see lasting results. We give you a realistic estimate at your consultation.
Is facial laser hair removal safe for dark skin?
Yes. Our Nd:YAG laser is designed to treat darker and melanin-rich skin tones safely, so you can get results without the risks that come from using the wrong device.
Can I wear makeup right after my session?
We recommend arriving with a clean, makeup-free face and giving your skin a little time to settle afterward. Your technician will share simple aftercare steps at your visit.
Do I need to stop retinol or acids before treatment?
Yes. Pause retinoids, glycolic or salicylic acid, and other exfoliating actives for several days before a session, and wait 7 to 10 days after peels or microdermabrasion. Your technician will confirm timing for what you use.
Can laser make facial hair grow more?
Rarely, some people see finer hair near a treated area thicken, a response called paradoxical hypertrichosis. It is uncommon and more often reported with fine hair on the face and neck. We assess your hair at consultation and, where it is a concern, may recommend electrolysis instead.
