Alexandrite 755nm

Moves quickly across the area. Best for Fitzpatrick types I through III, lighter skin with darker hair.

Reaches deeper and passes safely through the upper layers of the skin. The right instrument for melanin-rich skin, types IV through VI, and well suited to the coarse hair found under the arms.

The Science

How It Works

The laser sends light into the follicle. The pigment in the hair absorbs it, converts it to heat, and the follicle is disabled. Over a series of sessions the hair under the arm thins, returns finer, and eventually mostly stops.

More than one session is required because your follicles are not synchronized, and only those actively growing on treatment day respond. We space visits a few weeks apart. Underarm hair tends to be coarse and pigmented, which is exactly what the laser targets best, so many clients are pleased with how quickly the area responds.

I now drive an hour and forty-five minutes to this place, and it is worth every mile of it!

What I liked most about Laser Affairs is that this is a CLINIC, not a salon or a spa. From the moment they answer the phone to the moment they accompany you to your car, they are professionals. The free consultation was super helpful. The pricing for the treatment is transparent and very reasonable--no tricks, no add-ons, no surprises!

The availability of a real doctor who can prescribe medications was a huge plus for me. The individualized treatment plan Mary Beth devised for me and the latest technology they utilize ensured that my treatment (a very sensitive and break-out-prone full body) was a success. After lapsing on my Laser Hair treatment for about two years I finally had enough growth to where I was really getting bothered by the stubble again. Unfortunately, I had moved away from my usual technician in Georgia and that was part of the reason why I put it off for so long, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to find someone who knew what they were doing and had a machine that would work as well as my previous one. I searched and made multiple phone calls before finding Laser Affair. I had read that the Candela machines they use were really effective And I liked that Laser Hair Removal was their only specialty. If you are considering getting a tattoo in the near future I highly recommend taking advantage of Laser Affair’s services in the area you want to get it! You are unable to do so after the fact, and not having any hair to dull the tattoo makes a huge difference. My treatments got rid of unwanted hair in minimal sessions, and Laser Affair’s staff were very accommodating and are wonderful people. I can’t recommend their services enough!!
